Coffee Wood Dog Chew Specifications: Sizes, Weights, Cartons and Container Loads
Coffee wood dog chew specs for wholesale buyers: six sizes, piece weights, pieces per carton, container loads, moisture, MOQ and lead times.

Most coffee wood suppliers will not put numbers in writing until you ask for a quote. That makes it hard to compare them, and it makes freight quotes go wrong. This page puts WINVN's working figures in one place, in the same units used on our own packing lists. Where we do not hold a number, we say so rather than estimate one.
Short answer: WINVN makes coffee wood dog chews in six stick sizes (XS to XXL) and four thick-cut Gorilla sizes. Every size ships in one 51 × 31 × 39 cm master carton. Moisture is measured on every batch and finished below 14%. The minimum order is 50 pieces per size per SKU on stock packaging, and 500 pieces per SKU with your own printed label or box.
The stick line: six sizes
The stick is the standard cut: a length of coffee wood trunk or thick branch, bark removed, sanded, ends finished. Match the size to the dog, not to the price. An XS stick given to a 20 kg dog is gone in an afternoon. An XXL given to a 4 kg dog will be ignored.
| Size | SKU | Length | Diameter | Weight per piece | Dog weight | Pieces per carton, bulk |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| XS | CC01XS | 10 cm | 1.5–2 cm | 23–30 g | up to 3 kg | on request |
| S | CC01S | 13–14 cm | 2–2.5 cm | 35–45 g | 3–5 kg | 512 |
| M | CC01M | 17–18 cm | 2.5–3.5 cm | 90–110 g | 5–8 kg | 224 |
| L | CC01L | 19–20 cm | 3.5–4.5 cm | 120–180 g | 8–12 kg | 126 |
| XL | CC01XL | 21–22 cm | 4.5–5.5 cm | 230–310 g | 12–20 kg | 85 |
| XXL | CC01XXL | 22–23 cm | 5.5–7 cm | 340–440 g | 20 kg and over | on request |
Length is held to ±3 mm on the stick line. Diameter is given as a range because a stick cut from a 20-year-old trunk is not a machined part. If your own specification needs a tighter tolerance, agree it in writing before the order is booked, because it changes the rejection rate and therefore the price.

Bulk versus retail packing: the number that breaks freight quotes
The same stick fits a carton in very different quantities depending on how it is packed.
- Bulk: sticks go into large polybags inside the carton, with nothing between them.
- Retail: each piece or set carries its own printed sleeve or label, which takes space.
| Configuration | SKU | Sets per carton | Pieces per carton |
|---|---|---|---|
| Size S, pack of 3 | S3CC01S | 100 | 300 |
| Size M, single | CC01M | 120 | 120 |
| Size M, pack of 2 | S2CC01M | 92 | 184 |
| Size M, pack of 3 | S3CC01M | 52 | 156 |
| Size L, single | CC01L | 100 | 100 |
| Size L, pack of 2 | S2CC01L | 55 | 110 |
| Size L, pack of 3 | S3CC01L | 34 | 102 |
| Size XL, single | CC01XL | 50 | 50 |
| Size XL, pack of 2 | S2CC01XL | 35 | 70 |
| Size XL, pack of 3 | S3CC01XL | 22 | 66 |
| Size XXL, pack of 3 | S3CC01XXL | 16 | 48 |
Size M is the clearest example: 224 pieces per carton in bulk, 120 once each piece is retail-packed. That is 46% fewer units in the same box. Build a landed-cost model on the bulk figure and then order retail packaging, and your cost per unit is wrong by nearly half. A configuration not listed here can usually be run, but ask for the carton count before it goes on a proforma invoice.
Carton, pallet and container
One carton size covers the whole range, which keeps loading arithmetic simple.
| Item | Figure |
|---|---|
| Master carton, as packed | 51 × 31 × 39 cm |
| Volume per carton | 0.062 m³ |
| Carton weight | about 19–23 kg |
| Cartons per pallet (1.0 × 1.2 m) | 30 |
| 20 ft container, floor-loaded | 429 cartons |
| 40 ft standard container (40DC), floor-loaded | 850 cartons |
| 20 ft container, palletised | about 300 cartons (roughly 30% fewer) |
The 40 ft figure is for a standard-height box, not a high cube. Palletising costs about 30% of the load. That is worth it if the receiving warehouse charges for hand-unloading, and not worth it if it does not. Port of loading is Cat Lai, Ho Chi Minh City.
What WINVN measures, and how often
| What | Figure | When |
|---|---|---|
| Finished moisture | below 14% | every batch before packing, and again before the container is sealed |
| Moisture reading points | 5 per check | not one probe in one stick |
| Crack rejection | any piece cracked beyond 2 mm | at grading |
| Raw material rejected | about 20% | no chemical step is used to rescue borderline wood |
| Quality checkpoints | 5 stages | raw log to sealed carton |
| Monthly capacity, coffee wood | 100,000 pieces | about 1.2 million a year |
Moisture is the number that decides whether a container arrives clean. WINVN lost a container to mould in 2018, which is why the reading is taken on every batch rather than on a sample. What a meter reading does and does not prove is covered in why wooden dog chews arrive mouldy.
Order sizes, lead times and terms
| Option | Quantity | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Free samples | 3 pieces | you pay the courier; the cost is credited back on your first order |
| Trial Box | 100 pieces | testing a listing or a shelf |
| Starting Box | 500 pieces | a first commercial run |
| Minimum order, stock packaging | 50 pieces | per size, per SKU; sizes can be mixed in one order |
| Minimum order, your own printed label or box | 500 pieces | per SKU |
- Under 500 pieces on stock packaging: 5 to 7 days ready to ship.
- Container with your own label, box or laser engraving: 60 to 80 days. Most of that is artwork approval and print tooling, not wood.
- Sea transit from Cat Lai: 30 to 35 days on average.
- Laser engraving: $0.10 per piece, from 50 pieces.
- Retail packaging in your own printed ivory board or kraft: $0.10 per set for the packing, added to the unit price.
- Deposit: 30% on a standard order, 50% when the order carries your own label or box.
- Incoterms quoted: EXW, CIF or DAP.
Read the lead times together before you promise a launch date. A container with custom packaging ordered today reaches your warehouse roughly four to five months later.
Figures WINVN does not publish, and why
- Caffeine content. No laboratory assay of coffee trunk wood exists for our material, so there is no figure and no caffeine-free claim. See does coffee wood contain caffeine?
- Biodegradation rate, compost timescale or carbon figure. There is no test or life-cycle assessment behind one, so we do not print one.
- A millimetre tolerance for the Gorilla line. The ±3 mm figure applies to sticks only.
- Drying settings. We publish the result, below 14% measured, and keep the schedule inside the factory.
Questions buyers ask
What is the minimum order for coffee wood dog chews?
50 pieces per size, per SKU, on stock packaging. Sizes can be mixed inside one order. Once your own printed label or box is involved the minimum is 500 pieces per SKU, because the setup runs against a print batch.
How many coffee wood chews fit in a 20 ft container?
429 master cartons floor-loaded, or about 300 palletised. The number of pieces depends on the size and on bulk versus retail packing: size M is 224 pieces per carton in bulk and 120 retail-packed.
What moisture content are the chews shipped at?
Below 14%, measured at five points on every batch before packing and again before the container is sealed. The reading for your batch is sent with the packing list on request.
